Specific Incident Examination
Being the most accurate type of polygraph examination, this is used in situations where a specific incident occurred on a specific date.
The polygraph examination is a quick and effective investigative tool to assist in the investigation into such a specific matter.
Periodic Polygraph Examination
This type of examination is usually conducted in regular intervals where the employee is employed in an environment where his continued honesty and trustworthiness within his specific working situation is of vital importance to the employer.
Assistance with the Legal Aspects of Polygraph Examinations
We assist with the legal aspects of the polygraph such as the admissibility and current CCMA rulings on the matter.
Pre-Employment Interviewing
This is ideal for the employer that requires thorough knowledge of his employee’s background but would prefer to not let the candidate undergo a pre-employment polygraph.
During the interview, information is required regarding the applicant’s education, employment history, financial information, gambling habits, security, honesty, and drug use.
At the end of this interview, a final evaluation is given of the candidate’s personal grooming, friendliness, physical appearance, stability, self-confidence, expression of ideas, personality, and maturity.
Forensic Assessment Interviewing
This is a full interview conducted on the subject in a situation where a specific incident occurred but for some reason, a polygraph examination cannot or should not be conducted on the employee.
Developed, researched, and taught by the Academy for Scientific Investigative Training, one of the leading American institutions offering worldwide education in the art of detection of deception, our Examiner gives points to the Interviewee’s verbal and non-verbal behaviour during this interview to assess the Interviewee’s truthfulness surrounding the matter being investigated.
During this interview, the Examiner quantifies his/her observation of the Interviewee’s non-verbal behaviour and verbal clues and numerically assesses the Interviewee’s truthfulness to minimise subjectivity.
Statement Credibility and Analysis
To be effective, the Examiner obtains the suspect’s own words, which must be unaltered and without any influence of someone else. Utilizing this technique in the investigation of a specific incident, careful attention is given to the subject’s linguistic “code” in his written statement.
In an analysis of the subject’s statement, the Examiner gives a conclusion of probable deception or truthfulness, and which areas should be further focused on during the investigation. This is most useful when the subject is fluent in either English or Afrikaans and a polygraph examination or forensic assessment interview technique cannot or should not be utilized.
